Welcome to Avalon Logistics & Moving INC. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our moving, logistics, and storage services ("Services"). By booking or using any of our Services, you agree to these Terms in full.
1. Services Offered
We provide professional moving, logistics, and storage solutions. Services may include packing, transportation, loading/unloading, and temporary or long-term storage.
2. Booking and Confirmation
All services must be scheduled in advance. A deposit may be required to confirm a booking. You will receive a written confirmation outlining the agreed services, rates, and schedule.
3. Customer Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information regarding items to be moved.
- Be present or assign a responsible party at pickup and delivery locations.
- Pack items securely unless you have requested our packing service.
- Inform us in advance about fragile or high-value items.
4. Rates and Payment
- Prices are based on labor, distance, time, and other service-specific factors.
- Final charges will reflect actual service time and scope.
- Full payment is due upon service completion unless otherwise agreed.
5. Delays and Rescheduling
We strive to meet scheduled dates and times but are not liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, or other unforeseen events. We will notify you promptly of any delays.
6. Liability and Insurance
We take great care in handling your belongings. However:
- Basic liability coverage is included.
- Additional coverage may be purchased.
- We are not liable for items not packed by our team unless gross negligence is proven.
7. Prohibited Items
We do not transport:
- Hazardous materials
- Perishable food
- Firearms or ammunition
- Illegal substances
8. Termination
We reserve the right to cancel or refuse service if:
- The environment is unsafe
- The customer is non-compliant or abusive
- Payment terms are violated
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Virginia/Prince William County. Any disputes will be resolved through arbitration or small claims in Virginia's Court System.
